Your Membership is not an insurance plan and does not meet requirements under the Affordable Care Act. You’ll still need insurance if you have a major health problem such as surgery or hospitalization (We can still be here to help guide you). We par well with high deductable plans and sharing plans to save you money!
-
No, we do not accept or directly bill any insurance. This allows us the freedom to offer a more personalized and unique approach to your care. While we don’t work with insurance, it’s still essential for covering services beyond the scope of our primary care practice, such as emergencies, specialist visits, surgeries, and more.
-
Not taking insurance allows us to focus entirely on you, the patient. In direct primary care, we avoid the inefficiencies and administrative burdens of insurance companies, which helps us keep our patient panel smaller—300-600 patients compared to 1500-2000 in traditional practices. This means we can offer extended visits, more availability through technology, and a truly personalized experience, making you feel like part of the MiddleWay family, not just a number.
-
We understand that everyone needs time off occasionally, including our healthcare providers. Rest assured, you're still covered when your provider is out of the office. We have a dedicated team of healthcare providers to ensure seamless coverage whenever needed. You'll get to know the entire team, as everyone here is involved and ready to assist.
-
Referrals work just like they do in conventional medicine. We can refer you to specialists within the community whenever it's necessary.
-
MiddleWay Wellness operates independently from large health systems, which we see as a benefit for delivering primary care. While being independent, we still have access to the same systems within those networks, enabling us to deliver top-quality care without the complexities of large health systems.
